Not much going on around here lately. Just a few updates:

1) Going into the 'Burgh this weekend to have a "Luau Party" at my sis-in-laws new big ass house. Wheee...big fun!

2) Going to my nephews 13th birthday party on Sunday,(was just notified of this today), and again, another Wheee....big fun!

3) My folks haven't strangled eachother yet. My Dad, in his state of dementia, seems oblivious (or so it seems) to most of the bullshit. My Mom, on the otherhand, is normally overwhelmed by it. Good combo.

4) I am thinking of applying for work at a local retail store, part-time, full time, whatever.

5) My brother-in-law is visiting us for a few days, and it is nice to have some company. It's been quite awhile since anyone's been up to stay with us. Hmmmm.

6) I haven't talked to my brother in a long while. Every time I hear something about him from my Mom, it's always drama times 10. I don't wanna hear it. I try to repel drama.

7) Today I am getting a mammogram. Once again, can I hear a Wheeeee....big fun! Holla!

I thought this dragonfly was beautiful.

It seems like I've been in another "land", (we'll call it "LaLa" for now) longer than I care to recall. The place I'm at right now is new territory, and I'm finally seeing the light as to what the hell I'm doing. Or at least believing that makes me feel better. Currently, I have two parents that live a tad over 2 hours away, that are in poor health, with my Dad being the frailest of the two. My Dad has dementia, of some sort, which makes this a really strange situation in and of itself. My Mom is dealing with health conditions that are too numerous to mention, and she, along with a few new helpers (finally!)are caring for my Dad. Whew. Crazy shit. I'll attempt to keep current on this saga.

Then there's the relationship stuff. I'll be married 24 years this August, together 28 total, and lemme tell you, it still takes work. And going through this mid-life crap together is a crazy journey. We each think the other's nuts most of the time. *rolls eyes* Old people deserve a standing friggin' ovation. No shit. Anyway, lots of construction going on in this department, in fact I've taken up golf, with Hubby doing the teaching, so we can spend more time together. If you only knew how crazy this is! I'll keep you posted on my progress. Putt and chip, chip and putt.

Then there's just plain laziness I get away from blogging, and the more time that passes, the more stuff piles up and I just don't want to start at the beginning of some of my escapades.
